UK HORROR: Belfast Attack Exposes the Cost of Mass Migration Without Assimilation

1 hour ago 4

The corrosive drawbacks of the DEI mindset and mass migration without assimilation are being exposed in the U.K. The establishment is angry that people are angry about it.

On Monday night, a man who police say was a Sudanese migrant was caught on camera sitting on top of a man in Belfast, Northern Ireland, and seemingly trying to behead him.

A group of men with what appeared to be shovels accosted the alleged assailant and detained him.

The shocking video was published on social media, which I will link below for those who want to see it.

WARNING: GRAPHIC

The Belfast video immediately drew commentary from many who called the act “horrifying” and “barbaric.”

From Nigel Farage, the leader of Reform UK.

What happened in Belfast last night is horrific.

The authorities must reveal the identity and status of the attacker immediately.

Another member of Reform UK and former member of parliament Rupert Lowe demanded full transparency from the police on the alleged slasher’s immigration status.

According to multiple reports, police said on Tuesday that the victim suffered significant eye injuries and that the alleged attacker was an asylum seeker from Sudan. His legal status has not yet been confirmed as of publication.

Protests are reportedly being planned across the U.K.

Protests in more than 70 cities are planned tonight across the UK at 7 PM after yesterday’s attempted beheading in Belfast.

Many shops all around Belfast are closing early in anticipation of possible rioting following the attempted beheading by an African migrant that was caught on video last night.

I’m speaking to my Northern Irish sources to get more context about the reaction to the attack.

Much like another recent video release, the country’s left-leaning political establishment was again much angrier at Farage and others for drawing attention to the attempted beheading rather than at the actual crime.

Last week there were protests around the U.K. after authorities released a video of the stabbing of a young British man by a Sikh immigrant that appeared to show the police being more concerned with accusations of “racism” rather than murder.

As I wrote last week, the police response demonstrated how racialized, woke policies have created a deformed, increasingly two-tiered system of justice in Britian.

The country’s political establishment mostly tut-tutted anyone making a larger point about the nature of that ugly incident and the corrosive effects of DEI run amok.

Now the process is repeating itself after the Belfast attack.

One Irish politician was less angry about the near beheading than he was about people sharing the video online.

“The violence in North Belfast was horrific, the video will create fear and shock,” Labour Party Member of Parliament Claire Hanna, who represents Northern Belfast, wrote on X. “No good will come of sharing it or of turning on each other in this society, including for the clout of online voices who don’t know or care about us and who offer absolutely nothing for the future.”

One Irish politician castigated “English, right wing politicians” for using the incident “to further their own ends.”

The justice minister of Northern Ireland said that her thoughts were with the victim, but she was seemingly more concerned about racism and stopping “all these dangerous narratives and weaponising what is already an horrific attack.”

So the Justice Minister of Northern Ireland's focus after a Sudanese migrant allegedly tried to behead an man in Belfast is potential racism against minorities… pic.twitter.com/NvCvsRi2J0

It’s hard to read this and not think of that now well-worn joke by the late comedian Norm Macdonald who wrote years ago, “What terrifies me is if ISIS were to detonate a nuclear device and kill 50 million Americans. Imagine the backlash against peaceful Muslims?”

Also again, it’s interesting to witness all the shrieks about the so-called far-right politicizing migrant violence.

These same people who rush to politicize any event that they think confirms their own narrative, are quick to demand a suppression of any evidence that contradicts it.

And that gets to the larger problem in the U.K. and the West in general.

In the United States, the fever dreams of the Great Awokening have broken somewhat as President Donald Trump’s return to office brought on a larger societal “vibe shift.”

Americans now speak more openly about, for instance, the issues surrounding the importation of millions of unassimilated immigrants, illegal and legal.

But in the U.K. and in Europe more broadly, discussions on this topic are tightly controlled. Those who criticize mass migration are liable to be silenced or even imprisoned for their views by overbearing censorship regimes.

The result of collectively closing ears and saying “na, na, na, I don’t hear you,” has been that European societies are now sitting on a powder keg of angry locals and newcomers.

The overwhelming, globalist impulse to create open borders and allow mass migration whether the people want it or not has created a toxic political environment that demands further censorship to prevent bottom-up anger from boiling over.

The only gameplan they have now is to offer platitudes about how the latest violence is “awful,” then go into damage control mode as they try to shame anyone for making a broader point about immigration policies.

But telling people to simply shut up and stop politicizing an inherently political issue doesn’t appear to be working as well as it once did. Now nobody’s listening to them. They are just seeing with their own eyes what their leaders have wrought.
