Digitalisation impacts every element of our daily lives, including agriculture and food production. Recognising this, European Coordination Via Campesina (ECVC) has created this position paper on digitalisation and some futurist agricultural technologies.

This paper reflects the political stance of ECVC and includes real stories and examples from the ground. “The challenges digitalisation brings to peasant agroecology: an ECVC perspective” presents the analysis from our task team and the outcomes of two workshops, reflecting the participation and insights of ECVC members.

This position paper aims to guide its members in their internal work, and also provide policymakers, institutions, and other civil society organisations with a clear understanding of the political risks and challenges digitalisation poses for peasants and the planet.
